Hope everyone is dealing with the combination of dark mornings and dark evenings. Personally, with a still knackered knee (along with a broken toe) the lack of daylight is the least of my running problems!
The bit of reflection I’ve had while I am out of action is how much I am looking forward to watching the 2019 London Marathon rather than flogging myself through the streets.
We’ve a good group of runners who will be taking part in April, and we recently added Owen to that list, as he was the ‘lucky’ one that took the club entry in the draw. Congrats again :-)
There have still been some races after the Autumn surge of events, with a few 10k’s popping up - and some stellar performances. Nice the see the last bit of 2018 racing being squeezed out of the legs
As we head towards Christmas, key dates for the diary are Thursday 6th December for curry (to be arranged by Ian Haylock, please hound him to arrange), and Thursday 20th December for pub quiz and drinks. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Lastly, as most members will have already seen, we have moved onto Slack as the communication platform for messaging, training schedules, news etc. We’ll continue to migrate onto this and away from WhatsApp. Please try and move your own messaging onto Slack!
Thanks,
Ian.
