The end of October signals the end of most of the Autumn racing for 2021. It was great to see so many at the Cabbage Patch 10, and other Shifters have also toed the start line since then at the Kingston Half as well as Beachy Head marathon. One or two races left before the season properly draws to a close so best of luck to those with another event still to come.
Website Update
In the background, SHAEF HQ have been busy with a new website. I hope you agree it looks very sleek! Reminder to check it out and also sign up to the newsletter, so you get club updates automatically:

Big thanks to Owen for doing all the work in the background to migrate it over.
You can also track anything else to do with the club through social media, on Facebook, Instragram, Twitter and Strava. Don’t miss out!
Club Kit
If you are looking to get yourself a club T-Shirt or vest, don’t forget there are a selection available at Up & Running Teddington. Give us a shout if you want to buy. Could be perfect in the run up to Christmas ;-)
Dates for the diary
The date for the 2021 AGM has been set. It will take place on Wednesday 24th November. We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible for the evening, upstairs at The Railway in Teddington. There’ll be the usual more formal stuff, including awards, some fun and interactivity, and doubtless lots of socialising amongst members. More details to follow, but you won’t want to miss it so get it in the diary and get yourself down!
The other date to put into the schedule is Thursday 16th December for the SHAEF Christmas social. This is the highlight of the year for many (including me…), so we are delighted it will be back for 2021. We’ll also have another quiz, after it went virtual last year. This one will take place in The Adelaide, Teddington. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
Hope to see as many of you as possible at both (or at least one) of those.
Ian.
