SHAEF Virtual League: Race 6 Results

For the final race of our 2020 series, we teamed up with the Virtual Arethusa for a one mile showdown.  Some cracking times and efforts to celebrate this week, and a little reflection on the highlights of an unexpected - and eventful - virtual season.

To celebrate the end of our 2020 Virtual League, we commissioned a bespoke medal that brings our crest together with the club’s famous Arethusa Fountain design.  We want everyone that ran one of our virtual races to receive a medal and mark this unique year of racing.

Medals can be collected next week (28 Sep onwards) from  Oliver (Twickenham/Fulwell), Nick (Hampton), Ian (Teddington) or Charlie’s shop (Charlie Chandler’s Guitar Experience in Hampton Wick).  The medals were funded through the exceptionally kind contributions of Ross and Ioan through auctioning kit and accessories to help club funds.  Thank you, gentlemen.

We hope that the club can hold an AGM soon, as and when coronavirus restrictions are eased.  That event will include awards to recognise member’s performances.  The SHAEF virtual league will be a strong reference point for deciding winners.
