Lots happening as ever in the world of the SHAEF Shifters.
Just today we had a great turnout and some excellent performances at the Elmbridge 10k. Well done to all who raced. Yesterday there was a big group who were at the Anniversary games watching some high quality athletics. Made for a great weekend of running!
More to come this week as Friday sees another running of the Wedding Day 7k, which should have a big turnout pretty much on home turf for SHAEF. Good luck to everyone taking part for some strong performances and for those of you interested we should see the return of the midnight mile afterwards :-)
River Relays are also coming up quickly and we are busy finalising entrants and trying to get a many teams as possible into the event. Shout if you want to take part and haven’t raised your hand yet. It is a really great event that gets the balance between competitiveness and fun just about right!
Many people heading off for a summer break in the next few weeks, and I know I enjoy trawling Strava to see where everyone is getting in their runs in the sun. Judging by the forecast you could stay in Bushy and get the warm weather!
Ravi also has been sorting some of the New Balance kit, so let him know if interested. He has also been working on getting the club registered to take part in some of the local league events. More to come on that…
